Alston Hall, overlooking the beautiful Ribble Valley, offers the perfect setting to consider your retirement plans. At Alston Hall we currently provide courses for local government employees such as Lancashire County Council, national companies such as BNFL and specific groups such as teachers. We also run ‘open’ courses for the general public.
Course content includes:
- New Directions including information & ideas about all the opportunities retirement has to offer
- Money Matters such as pensions, welfare rights, personal taxation, investments and money management, will making and inheritance tax planning
- Health Issues such as ways of minimising the risk to our health and fitness in retirement
- Relationship Issues such as the impact our retirement may have on others and how we might best create a ‘smooth transition’ and maintain stability in our relationships with those around us. Where there are partners they are particularly encourage to attend and a reduced price is offered
- Planning Issues such as identifying, at a personal level, the key issues and what actions we need to take to make the most of the changes ahead
There are a number of options to meet individual and company needs. One day courses provide useful information and cover the essential areas of finance, health and opportunities. Two day courses (residential and non-residential) allow time to cover wider issues in more depth and have a bigger impact on retirement planning. There are also evening (5.00 – 9.30) courses for companies and individuals who find it difficult to spare the time during the working day.
