Alston
Hall Residential College provides the expertise and
surroundings
you need for a successful event
Overview
Our Victorian country house is set in an attractive rural location
about 6 miles east of Preston - yet only a few miles from junction
31A of the M6. Alston Hall offers residential training facilities
comprising 32 bedrooms, 2 dining rooms, a lounge with licensed bar,
conservatory and extensive gardens. We also offer training, conference
and meeting facilities for day use. Some training facilities, dining
room, lounge/bar and some of the residential accommodation are on
the ground floor, allowing easy access for people with disabilities.
There is lift access to our first floor facilities in the main building.
Our considerable experience of client requirements combined with
friendly staff, a relaxed atmosphere, and that very special personal
touch create a very supportive learning environment, which will undoubtedly
contribute to the success of your event. Our Conference Administrator
will liaise closely with you, both before and during the event to
ensure that all your requirements are met. Staff are available throughout
your stay to provide support.
The College has 3 large lecture rooms and a range of smaller syndicate
rooms. The rooms will accommodate from 12 to 60 to delegates (depending
on room choice and layout). All training rooms are well equipped
and comfortable. Your room(s) will be ready on arrival, with the
layout requested and the AV equipment ready for use to ensure a problem-free
start to your day. In addition we have access to training/learning
support and learning technology support equipment. ICT facilities
are available in 2 rooms and free access to the internet in the library.
There will always be someone on hand to assist, should there be any
last minute changes to your programme. Refreshments will be available
for your delegates on arrival in the conservatory.
Alston Hall offers 32 comfortable, centrally heated bedrooms, 22
of which have en-suite facilities. Tea and coffee making facilities
are provided in each room. The College has a comfortable lounge for
use throughout your stay and a bar which is available at lunchtimes
and during the evenings. The College library is located on the first
floor and includes an ICT facility.
The Dining Room staff provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere
in which to enjoy an excellent 2 course lunch of either hot or cold
selection with vegetarian alternatives. Other dietary requirements
for health or religion can also be catered for on request. The evening
meal offers a sumptuous home cooked 3 course dinner. Our Catering
Manager would be pleased to discuss any other special requirements
you may have. Sample menus are available upon request.
