- Alston Evenings: The following are evening talks and form part of existing courses. We are pleased to be able to open these events open to non participants on the course. Tickets are only £5 and you have the option to purchase our 3 course meal beforehand.

- Wine Club
- Starting on Thursday 6th May and every Thursday for 6 weeks. This course has been especially designed for those who know nothing (or very little!) about wine but really want to learn. Each week will give you the chance to taste wines from all over the world as well as learn a little bit about how to taste and how wine is made. It costs £36 to enrol for the 6 weeks and then £6 per week.
HOW TO BOOK
The college booking office is open 9:00am - 5:00pm any day of the week.
- By Post. Complete a booking form and send it to Alston Hall with a cheque made payable to "Lancashire County Council".
If you do not have a booking form, we will need to know:
Your full name, address including postcode, telephone number, date of birth, and nationality and course details.
- Telephone the college and pay by credit card, switch or debit card
- Pay in person at the College by cheque or cash
COURSE LEVELS
Most courses in this programme are suited to all abilities but please check the individual courses for more details. A copy of the course program can be obtained from the College Office, prior to enrolment, if preferred.
HOW MUCH TO SEND
Day Courses, Evenings & Weekly Courses:
Full fees, including the registration fees, are payable at the time of booking.
Residential Courses
- Please call the College Office before making a residential booking to check appropriate accommodation is available. There are two stages to booking a residential course:
- Payment of a non-returnable deposit at the time of booking - £20.00 per night.
- Payment of the balance one month before the course starts.
Please note that to save costs, we do not send reminders.
- Non-residential learners on residential courses. If you live locally and would prefer not to stay overnight at Alston Hall, you are welcome to attend residential courses at a reduction of £20.50 per night.
SUPPLEMENTS OF RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION
Alston Hall has 31 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 49 residents. 26 of the bedrooms have full ensuite facilities and 5 are standard rooms with a washbasin. Tea and coffee making facilities, towels and bathroom packs are available in every room.
Standard rooms do not normally attract a supplement
Ensuite single rooms - £9 per night supplement
Ensuite shared rooms - £6 per person per night
PRIVATE STUDY AT ALSTON HALL
If you are attending a residential course and would like to bring a friend or partner with you, please let us know. On request, a price can be calculated dependent upon length of stay and type of accommodation. Your companion can then enjoy a walk round the grounds or a relaxing read in the library and meet up with you at break times.
Overnight accommodation may also be available if you wish to extend your stay or link our day activities together.
